Therapy is a space for you to pause, untangle what’s going on, and make sense of the things that can be difficult to understand on your own. Together, we can begin to look at your experiences from a different perspective, understand what’s keeping you stuck, and explore what might help you move forward.
I'm an integrative therapist, with a strong foundation in person-centred therapy.
Previous supervisors and line managers have described my therapeutic approach as warm, empathic, reflective, enthusiastic and authentic - qualities that I always bring into the therapeutic relationship.
At the heart of my approach is the belief that you are the expert in your own experience, and that therapy works best when we create a genuine, trusting connection where you feel able to be yourself.
Being integrative means I can draw on different therapeutic ideas and approaches depending on what feels helpful for you. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all way of doing therapy, so I’ll adapt our work to your needs, your experiences and what you want to explore.
We may spend time understanding where difficulties have come from, noticing patterns in the way you think, feel or relate to others, or exploring what is happening for you in the present. Sometimes, the most important thing is simply having space to slow down and be heard.
My role isn’t to tell you what to do, provide advice, or give you all the answers. It’s to listen, ask thoughtful questions, offer a different perspective when helpful, and work alongside you as you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and what you need.
A space
without judgement
A space where you can be open and honest about what you’re experiencing, without fear of judgement.
Working together
collaboratively
Therapy is something we do together. Your experiences, thoughts and perspective are central to understanding what you need.
Going at your
own pace
There’s no right or wrong way to experience therapy, and no expectation of where you should be. We’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you.
A space to be
curious
A space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences with curiosity, without judgement or pressure to have all the answers.
Understanding yourself
Patterns & relationships
Anxiety & overwhelm
Self worth & confidence
These are just a few examples of the things we might look at. Therapy is personal, and our work together will be shaped around your unique experiences, needs, and what feels important to you. You will never be pressured to look at or talk about anything you don't feel ready to. There is no right or wrong way to do therapy,
You may have been thinking about therapy for a while, or perhaps you've only just started considering it. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to have all the answers before taking the first step.
