I’m Chloe (she/her), a qualified therapist and the founder of Chloe Reid Therapy.
I’m naturally warm, curious and creative, and very much a people person. I love filling my life with colour - whether that's through what I wear, spending time by the sea, or getting stuck into something arty and creative.
This page is a little introduction to the person behind the therapist, and some of the experiences that have shaped the way I work.
My career began in adult nursing. After graduating in 2019, I spent seven years working in primary care and dermatology.
The part of nursing I valued most was always the human side - getting to know the person behind the health concern, listening to their story and understanding what mattered to them.
Over time, I became increasingly interested in the connection between our physical health and emotional wellbeing. I wanted to offer people more time and space to talk, feel heard and explore what they were experiencing beyond their physical health.
Training as a therapist felt like a natural progression from what I had always valued most about nursing: connecting with people, understanding their experiences and being there when they needed support.
My nursing background continues to shape the way I work, alongside my own personal experiences as a patient navigating healthcare, and a client in therapy.
Alongside my professional nursing experience, my own experiences of being neurodivergent and living with chronic illness have helped shaped the therapist I am.
I draw on my experience from both sides of the healthcare system, as both professional and patient. This gives me a deeper understanding of how differently we experience the world, our health, and our wellbeing. It has also strengthened my belief that there's no one-size-fits-all approach. I know how meaningful it can be to feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted.
I am also mindful of the privileges and perspectives I bring into the therapy room as a cis white woman. I recognise that my experiences are not the same as everyone else's, and I'm committed to creating an inclusive space where differences in identity, culture, background, ability, sexuality, gender, and lived experience, are respected and welcomed.
For me, it's important that therapy feels like a space without any judgement or pressure to be anything other than yourself - a place where you can feel safe to explore whatever brings you through the door.

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time in nature with my cockapoo Crumble and making the most of time with family.
I often have multiple creative projects on the go at once – there’s usually something I’m making, learning or working on!
I think these parts of who I am are important too, and I hope they help give you a sense of the person behind the therapist.
You may have been thinking about therapy for a while, or perhaps you've only just started considering it. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to have all the answers before taking the first step.
